The 9.12 Contact Center release is just around the corner, bringing new functionality to improve outbound dialling as well enhance the experiences of supervisors and improve agent productivity during outbound campaigns.
9.12 Release highlights include:
Broadcasting: Allows supervisors to send out mass notifications to teams or groups of agents to quickly distribute communications. Broadcast messages older than seven days will automatically be discarded
Updates to chat interactions list: The list of chat interactions will now automatically synchronize and update the list of active chat interactions and their status, even in the event a customer abandons the conversation, or there is a disruption to service

New calendar-based status for 8x8 Work Desktop!
Have you enabled the calendar-based status feature on your 8x8 Work for Desktop yet? If not, here’s a quick video to learn how. Requires version 6.9 or higher.

Meeting Analytics
Did you know that, as an 8x8 administrator you have access to an extensive set of meetings analytics that provide you with insights into meetings adoption within your organization, meetings activity as well as quality of service metrics?
Meetings analytics empowers you as an administrator to monitor meetings adoption within your organization as well as get detailed information on meetings activity, giving you more insights and the right information to help support your users in leveraging meetings using 8x8 Work for Desktop or 8x8 Work for Mobile.
Meetings activity reports allow you to get more detail on participants such as who was on mute or who adjusted their volume, who was the dominant speaker, active devices and who used video. Quality of service reports allow you to track eMos scores for each participant and for the meeting as a whole and troubleshoot issues such as media streaming latency and delay.

PSTN replacement services
We've recently added four more countries where 8x8 can offer PSTN replacement services (China, Greece, Kazakhstan and Peru) and to over 41 countries in total. We can now offer local DID numbers and support locally terminated calls without the use of a traditional gateway solution.
