Learn more about how 8x8 integrates with Microsoft Teams.
With a global infrastructure leveraging regional, Microsoft-certified SBCs across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, 8x8 Voice for Microsoft Teams uses Microsoft’s Direct Routing interface to connect to a customer’s tenant on the Microsoft Phone System via VoIP SIP trunking.
This enables access to 8x8 telephony services, including global calling plans and enhanced local PSTN connectivity in 48 countries worldwide.
End users retain their preferred Microsoft Teams interface - using the desktop, web or mobile app - to make and receive calls seamlessly via the 8x8 infrastructure, with no other dialler application to install or manage.
Administrators can also activate additional 8x8-powered capabilities within the native Team interface, including cross-platform presence, eFax, call recording playback and self-service call queue access.
This way, all collaboration interactions - internal and external - are centralised as part of the Teams user experience, simplifying operation, driving adoption and maximising productivity.
