This brief video demonstrates the steps to set a passcode for an 8x8 Meeting. The following information provides step-by-step instructions as a reference.
Starting from the top, here's how to set a passcode for your meetings. Access 8x8 Meetings here.
Click "Sign Up" located in the top right corner. You're presented with a login screen. This example uses the email option. Add your email address and a password:
Now you will be asked to enter a company name. This can be any name to help you identify the group:
You are now using the app. Click "Allow" to enable camera usage:
To set the passcode, click on the settings icon located in the bottom left corner of the screen:
That opens the settings options. Select "My profile":
Select "Edit" at the bottom of the page, by the pencil icon:
The passcode screen is presented. Add your meeting name and passcode and click "Save". Note the passcode can be up to 10 digits (numbers only).
Your passcode and meeting information are now confirmed. Select "Got it".
Your profile is now presented again. Click 'Copy info" at the bottom of the page - also next to the pencil icon:
You'll receive confirmation the information has been copied:
That information can now be pasted into an email to send out to participants:
When the participants click on the link to join the meeting, they will be asked to provide the passcode:
Once the passcode is entered, they will join the meeting:
Only participants with a passcode are able to join the meeting.
